She Asked How to Grow Her Business. Her Dream Revealed a Question About Trust.

"I thought I had followed the rules and then I just floated in peace but I was looking for the answer to come in the same way I was looking for the octopus to appear. I trusted the process and returned reluctantly but at peace that the answer would find me if I just kept merging my mind with the field."

This participant came to Guided Dreaming with a powerful question: How do I turn my creative endeavors into a profitable business with a consistent revenue stream?

What emerged was a profound meditation on identity, intellect, and trust.

She began underwater. Light blue, clear water. Her guide played with her, mermaid-like. Then, an octopus appeared. But it kept shifting.

"It looked like a shark. I was a bit scared... then I realized that the shark was actually the octopus and it kind of shape shifted back and forth between a shark and an octopus."

At one point, the eye shifted again, to an elephant.

"The elephant eye is very important to me and so I tagged it as a message to ponder later."

She was invited into a healing bubble. And there, something unexpected happened.

"I began to merge with the bubble and every part of me blended nicely except for my head. I noted this as something to ponder later... why am I afraid to completely let go of my mind?"

The insight?

"Upon group discussion it was interesting that the shark resembled Shark Tank intro shot. Shark Tank is about business, competition, seeking capital, pitching a clear idea... I am thinking about who my sharks are. Who can I connect with to help me take my business to the next level."

But there was more, a deeper layer.

"One is that I fear I will lose myself if I don't have my intellect (fear of dementia). The other is that I will have no reason to return to this world if I completely let go. I see my brain as a tether to this world. I desire for it to be the last thing to leave me. I don't trust others or myself enough to release it for even a moment."

And then—the elephant's message.

"The elephant eye let me know that big things are coming. Be gentle, move slowly and deliberately and I will fly... elephants can fly you know."

That's the transformative power of dreaming while awake. Sometimes the dream doesn't just answer your question. It shows you the deeper question underneath.

Guided Dreaming offers a safe, reliable, and evidence-informed protocol to access your unconscious wisdom through structured underwater waking dreams.

Waking dreams are dreamlike phenomena experienced when one is not asleep, according to the APA Dictionary of Psychology.
