Dancing with the Octopus: Finding Support During a Career Transition
"A purplish-blue octopus approaching me, was my size and started dancing with me. Its arms intertwined with mine. Its eyes were kind and encouraging."
This participant came to Guided Dreaming after their position was eliminated—a career transition that left them seeking clarity and reassurance. Am I on the right path?

During their underwater waking dream, they began in white light. They felt overwhelmed. Then they grew roots—grounding themselves, drawing on their background and experience. They walked into the water. Creative energy rose from their sacral chakra.
And then, they were enveloped.
"I found myself enveloped in a warm, watery environment, surrounded by friendly sea creatures—sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, seaweed, and coral."
Then came the octopus—purplish blue, their own size, playful and welcoming.
"It started dancing with me. Its arms intertwined with mine. Its eyes were kind and encouraging."
After the dance, they made their way into the healing bubble—bursting its jelly-like surface with their hands, crawling inside, and floating weightlessly in a total state of well-being.
The insight?
"At least it provided a frame of mind with which to move forward, if not any immediate tangible concrete solutions."
Sometimes that's exactly what we need. Not a five-step plan. Not a guaranteed answer. Just a new frame of mind—and the reassurance that we are supported.
"When I feel low, I will remember that I have a supportive network that I can count on, and that things take time but I will get there eventually."
Their mental outlook shifted from 65 to 85.
That's the transformative power of dreaming while awake.
