Together Beneath the Waves: A Dream About Reconnecting with His Wife

"At one point, I felt that my wife and I were merging with the octopus so that we all became in one body, which is the body of the octopus, but our heads remained there, as if it were an octopus with three heads."

This participant and his wife came to Guided Dreaming seeking to resolve stress and communication challenges in their relationship. Over the past few months, work and personal commitments had created distance between them.

During his underwater waking dream, he found himself on a beach in Abu Dhabi—a place of peace and relaxation from his past.

"I was enjoying the movement of the blue sea waves, as if I felt harmony between myself and the movement of these waves."

When invited to bring a helper, his wife immediately came to mind. At first, he tried to bring something else—but he couldn't bypass her.

"She was with me and I could not bypass her for something else. I was convinced to take her with me."

Together, they swam to the depths of the sea, surrounded by bright, colorful fish. Then came the octopus—light blue, gentle, harmonious.

And then, something extraordinary happened.

"I felt that my wife and I were merging with the octopus so that we all became in one body... as if it were an octopus with three heads."

They moved together in harmony, enjoying the seaweed and coral reefs. At the end, they returned to the surface, swimming happily and harmoniously.

The insight?

"The dream emphasizes the importance of my relationship with my wife, our shared experiences, and our ability to support and complement each other. It reflects our deep bond and the harmony we strive to maintain."

He left the session with a clear commitment: to prioritize quality time with his wife, engage in activities that foster connection, and seek out more tranquil, relaxing moments together.

"Together we can face and embrace the depths of life with joy and peace."

That's the transformative power of dreaming while awake—together.
